These cute spiders of the family salticidae are perfect beginner friendly subjects. Not only that they are often not shy, but they even look straight at you. Some species tend to hop on our camera, but otherwise you have plenty of time to get your photos. You can find jumping spiders anywhere in Singapore. 137 species of salticidae are listed for Singapore on iNaturalist. It can be your table in a restaurant, it can suddenly sit on your back, or sit at a wall. Because I cannot find stories only for salticidae, I add my photos here in a mini gallery. The better photos are taken with a Olympus OM-D E-M10 MARKIII, the others with a Huawei P30 pro. Some stories are waiting for you though, enjoy reading!
