This picture of a jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) was taken with a Canon Powershot A430 in 2007.
When the Konica gave up, there was only a small budget for a new one. My focus was on close macros, so the promise of 1cm range at a low price was good enough for me! 4MP was lesser than before, but I went for it. When the Konica collected points for elegant design, the A430, with its green decoration, didn’t hide my budget limits. It felt almost twice as thick, and the screen was tiny and naja. But, the pictures were good. I liked the really close close-ups. Starting a series of damaged sensors during holidays, this camera produced totally white pictures if I remember correctly in Ibiza.
